Your first 30 days
A simple, low-risk plan for your first month: paper trade, journal, small size, review.
4 min read
Week 1: practice, no money
- Open a paper-trading account (most brokers and TradingView have one).
- Write your one-page plan.
- Take only trades that match it, and log every one.
Week 2: review
- Did you follow the plan on every trade? That's the only score that matters right now.
- Which setups worked, and which didn't?
- Adjust one rule, not ten.
Weeks 3–4: small and real
- Go live with tiny size, risking 0.25%–0.5% per trade.
- Keep the daily loss limit.
- Keep journaling. Weekend review every week.
Key takeaways
- ✓Paper trade first.
- ✓Measure yourself on following the plan.
- ✓Start tiny with real money; size up slowly.
